How Big is a
Billion?
Mrs. Terry’s Math Enrichment group
did
a project on How Big is a Billion? Everybody had to participate in the
project. They could pick a question that they wanted to answer as long it was
about a billion. We were suppose to draw pictures on our posters too. Daniel
Zhou and Campbell Sion’s question for the How Big is a Billion? was how many
people could eat with a billion dollars? Jacob Bernstein and Brendan Raynor’s
question was how many pairs of shoes would each NBA player need to have a
billion pairs? Grace Nieh and Jung-Jai’s question was how many computers could
you buy with a billion dollars? Alex Semenza and Andrew Holzbach’s question was
how many scoops of ice cream equal a billion licks? In the end we sent out our
project to the H&R Block, we didn’t win but we got a $50 gift card.
